PanTeak Resources Limited are a UK agent representing a network of long-established teak plantations in Panama, many with over 40 years of documented growth. The main estate was founded by the Omaes family about 45 years ago, following a national initiative that promoted the planting of Tectona grandis (teak) across Panama using imported Thai seed stock.
Today, the second and third generations of those original landowners continue this legacy, and PanTeak partners with them to source, manage, and distribute sustainably grown teak from these mature estates to global buyers. Our role is to connect these family-run plantations with international markets, ensuring quality, transparency, and long-term forestry stewardship.

Sustainable Teak Mill
A sustainably managed teak (Tectona grandis) plantation operates on a rotational harvesting system that ensures continuous regeneration and carbon sequestration while maintaining soil and ecosystem health. Through selective thinning, controlled spacing, and genetic improvement of planting stock, productivity and timber quality are optimised without degrading the land. Silvicultural practices such as understory management, erosion control, and nutrient recycling further enhance ecological stability.
